Purpose of Role

To support the Finance and Treasury Manager in completing the Financial Control and Treasury functions within the Finance Team.

Measures of success

  • Ensure the integrity of the fixed asset ledger is maintained in accordance with internal accounting polices
  • Be an effective business partner with project managers
  • Deliver reasonable forecasts on capex spend
  • Delivers month end responsibilities in line with the month end deadlines
  • Completed work is accurate; candidate can provide explanation and conclusions

  • Effective Business Partnering with Cost Centre Owners and Project Managers

Operational excellence

  • Look to fully utilise systems to deliver efficient, accurate process for payment of fees to franchise partners
  • Look to develop efficiencies in the processes for accounting for fixed costs and reconciling the associated balance sheet accounts

Duties & Responsibilities

Month-end Process

  • Being master user on Microsoft Dynamics
  • Accounting for fixed costs and completion of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ownership of fixed asset register and managing capital expenditure
  • Reviewing deliverables from cost-centre owners including accrual submissions
  • Journal preparation and entry
  • Assistance with and completion of month end reporting packs to Group
  • Assistance in completion of other ad hoc reporting to stakeholders

Business Partnering

  • Develop business partner relationships
  • Undertake regular business partner reviews to understand and report on performance
  • Produce commentary for board and ad hoc reporting

Cost Centre Reporting

  • Produce month end reporting for cost centres utilizing TM1
  • Become finance control “master user” for TM1 and Controller

Audit Management

  • Preparation of audit documentation and schedules
  • Support of annual audit process
  • Other tasks
  • GL code set-up and maintenance of chart of accounts
  • Other ad-hoc duties
  • Assistance in preparation of annual budget and forecasts for cost centres and capex
  • Involvement in annual internal control process

Experience

  • Background in commercial environment
  • Management of fixed asset register
  • AX 2012 Experience preferred
Qualifications

  • Part qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
