Overview:

An exciting opportunity to lead the development of a Creative Studio for Exterion Media, bringing together our Design and Photography teams for the first time 

Purpose of the role / Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management – Management and development of three full time designers and two contracted photographers who work four days week

  • Traffic Management – Management of workflows across the design and photography teams – ensuring correct process is followed on all incoming briefs, workflow is distributed appropriately and outputs are on time and within budget

  • Outsourcing – management of any required outsourcing or contracting of designers, overseeing the scheduling of regional photography contractors

  • Commercial development of the Studio – create a plan to monetise design and photography services whilst increasing creativity

  • Digitisation of the Studio – upskilling the teams to be able to deliver more digital solutions for our clients (with training support). Working closely with the Digital Content and Innovation Manager to deliver in-house digital design

Requirements:

  • A strong leader who empowers the team to deliver great work

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe creative suite, including knowledge of AfterEffects

  • Creative, articulate, organised, good people skills and project management skills

  • Ability to create superior, original design work

  • Strong conceptual skills

  • Team player and able to deal with tight deadlines, able to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Good communications skills

Experience and Qualifications:

Strong track record in design, preferably in a media organisation HND/BA Hons graphic design or equivalent
