Gumtree marks David Cameron’s resignation with a tactical Digital Outdoor campaign
Following the news that Theresa May was appointed as the UK’s new prime minister last night (13th July), Gumtree deployed a tactical Digital Out-of-Home campaign reassuring David Cameron that he can easily find a new home using the Gumtree app.
The tongue-in-cheek creative displayed an image of 10 Downing Street with the strapline “Don’t Worry David. Find thousands of properties on the Gumtree app” and ran across Exterion Media’s London Underground network of digital screens.
Katie Crossfield, Gumtree, said: “In a very quick turnaround, we capitalised on the flexibility of Digital Outdoor to reach Londoners on the move with a topical, cheeky message! We’re thrilled with the campaign and how it’s highlighted to our target audience that opportunity starts on Gumtree.”
The campaign was planned and booked with Exterion Media by the7Stars and Kinetic, and the creative agency was Fold7.
