Fashion brands take over the modern and iconic Wrapped Routemaster
Sir George Shillibeer would be turning over in his grave if he had seen what his horse drawn omnibus service of 1829 has become along the years! Buses are no longer just about transport. The modern Routemaster bus proves this by giving advertisers many creative opportunities.
Fashion brands such as Pepe Jeans, G-Star, Nike or Tommy Hilfiger recently advertised on this giant moving platform. All three brands have created their unique design and adapted it to the Routemaster format. Brands can literally take over the street!
If you have recently been walking in London, you must have seen some of these amazing creative campaigns. Considering the fact that Routemasters spend on average 70% of their time in Central London, it is the perfect platform to reach the valuable and affluent audience at the heart of the capital. Moreover, there is only one advertiser per bus which allows the brand the opportunity to wrap it entirely the way they want!
There are currently 470 Routemasters operating in Central London. By the beginning of 2016, Exterion Media is planning on extending its network to 600 Routemasters, giving brands even more creative solutions!
