This year’s thirteenth PANI awards, which will be held on 17 October 2014 at Belfast City Hall and hosted by BBC presenter Colin Murray, will offer an opportunity to celebrate the best creativity in the industry and to showcase outstanding achievement on a national stage.
Speaking at the launch, Chair of PANI Cathy Martin said:
“Our awards are a cornerstone of the PANI organisation and are always a much anticipated date in the advertising and media industry calendar as they represent a vitally important opportunity to showcase a high calibre of work to both peers and clients. They also allow the industry to make a significant statement on the wider stage of Great Britain and Ireland, as to the quality of the work being produced in and for the local market.”
The judging panel, which includes highly experienced and often commended advertising executives from across Ireland and the UK, is made up of Billy Mawhinney, Mike Bersin, Graham Elliott, Mike Baker, Nick Tomlin, Jonny Maginn, Maeve O'Meara and Farhad Koodoruth.
This year PANI is celebrating both the past and the future with their ‘Past, Present and Possibilities’ theme. Over the last 50 years the industry has changed vastly - almost beyond what might have even been considered possible in the 1950s - and the next 50 years are something that PANI can’t even begin to predict!
PANI Awards Committee Chair, who is also Managing Director of People Power NI Lynne Doherty said:
“I am both honoured and privileged to be a part of the 13th PANI Awards, in what is an increasingly changing market our aim is to showcase the creative talents of our local industry, by way of celebration of the past and anticipation of the future.”
This year’s awards are sponsored by Exterion Media, Belfast Telegraph, Citybeat, Clear Channel, Downtown/Cool FM, Irish News, JCDecaux, Mirror Media, UTV, U105 and WG Baird.
PANI Chair Cathy Martin concluded:
“I believe the thirteenth PANI Awards will continue to play a major role in driving the health and confidence of the industry in 2014 and beyond. They recognise the contribution that our industry makes to the local economy and, with fifteen awards with Gold, Silver and Bronze awarded and over 400 guests expected, the event itself promises to be a successful night rewarding creativity and excellence in the Northern Ireland publicity sector.”
