Exterion Media win at the DailyDOOH Gala Awards 2016!
Exterion Media, Europe’s largest privately owned Out-of-Home advertising company, has won Best Transport Install or Campaign at The DailyDOOH Gala Awards 2016 for the first beacon-enabled advertising campaign brought to London buses for the release of Kung Fu Panda 3.
The award celebrated the campaign’s innovation using beacons – promoting the film with T-sides and Supersides on buses across the capital, before being directly delivered to commuter mobile devices on the day of the movie’s launch earlier this year. Passengers using the Shazam app were served bespoke content including the trailer, and given the opportunity to book cinema tickets directly via their mobile device whilst en route.
Tim Last, Head of Innovation and Tech at Exterion Media, said: “We’re delighted to have won Best Transport Install or Campaign at the prestigious DailyDOOH Gala Awards. We’re thrilled that our dedication to innovation in Out-of-Home is being recognised by the industry, particularly at the end of what has been a fantastic year for Exterion Media. We plan to drive significant innovation in 2017 on Exterion Media's unique assets, and look forward to delivering further stand out campaigns".
The DailyDOOH Gala Awards recognises excellence and promotes best-practice in the digital signage and digital Out-of-Home industry. The evening took place at London’s Banqueting House in Whitehall at the beginning of December.
