Exterion Media helps The Disasters Emergency Committee fight famine in East Africa

East Africa Crisis Campaign on Canary Wharf Screens

Across Exterion Media’s digital network this spring, The Disasters Emergency Committee have launched an eye-opening appeal to fight famine in East Africa – a crisis that is looming across the country. The Disasters Emergency Committee brings together 13 leading UK aid charities during times of crisis to raise money for those impacted by disaster. 

Drought and conflict have left 16 million people on the brink of starvation and in urgent need of food, water and medical treatment. Using Exterion Media’s premium digital Hello London Icons at Canary Wharf, alongside digital LCD and DEP formats across their network, the committee is reaching out to audiences on the move across the whole of the UK. The campaign asks urbanites to donate £5 by texting SAVE to 70000, and highlights East Africa’s urgent need for support during this time of crisis.
