Exterion Media hosts event at MEC and brings one lucky MEC legend OOH fame
Exterion Media hosted an event at MEC on 2nd December, a sales-led initiative that showcased how innovative and future-facing our business is.
In collaboration with Kinetic, we parked a Creative Bus and opened a Learnings Lab at MEC’s London office where we ran 15-minute “espresso” sessions on the latest innovations and insight in OOH.
The event encouraged MEC employees to sign up and ‘Get on Board’ the Creative Bus where our Creative Solutions and live demonstrations of beacon technology, Duel app and TINT were showcased. In the Learnings Lab, we provided sessions on our work.shop.play. insights, Modern High Street research, DTE (Data, Target and Effectiveness) and Kinetic’s Bugtoberfest study.
As part of the event, we ran a #MECLEGEND competition where we invited everyone at MEC to take selfies or a picture of an ‘MEC legend’ and upload the photos to social media using the hashtags #MECLEGEND and #EXTERIONMEC. Jo Coombes won a luxury Selfridges Christmas gift for entering her #MECLEGEND selfie and those who attended the Duel app sessions voted for James Fox as the ultimate MEC legend by using the app. His photo was displayed across our digital screens at Waterloo the next morning during the commuter rush hour.
On the day of the MEC event, we deployed an ad on the Creative Bus that showcased some of the #MECLEGEND photos to encourage everyone to ‘Get on Board’ and vote!
