"Join Team Amy!" Exterion Media puts Local nurse in the spotlight as Marie Curie takes over Edinburgh Haymarket station
In a media first for Edinburgh Haymarket station, the terminal illness charity Marie Curie in partnership with Exterion Media has created an immersive Out-of-Home experience for commuters with a station takeover. The campaign aims to raise awareness of Marie Curie nurses who work through the night in people’s homes.
Over an eight-week period, Exterion Media has created an engaging experience for commuters at Haymarket - combining dynamic copy with impact and frequency across all Creative Solutions formats. The campaign incorporates experiential with a dedicated pop-up shop and promotional stand, where commuters can meet and interact with real Marie Curie Nurses like Amy to encourage donations.
Exterion Media partnered with Marie Curie to provide an engaging experience for commuters as they travel through the station, prompting them to find out more about the work that Marie Curie do.
The ‘charity immersion’ will continue until the 18th December 2016, over which time Marie Curie will be at the station, providing commuters with information about the charity’s services and encouraging them to make a donation. In just over four weeks, Marie Curie has already gained around 305 donors – with one generous Edinburgh donor signing up to give £100 a month!
The Haymarket activity follows the extremely successful campaign at Manchester Victoria Station, which achieved a substantial 600 new donors over the course of their eight-week takeover.
