Lexus celebrates Back to the Future Day with DOOH
In celebration of ‘Back to the Future Day’, Lexus – the luxury vehicle division of Toyota – deployed a tactical DOOH campaign on our digital escalator panels across 18 London tube stations.
The campaign targeted morning and evening commuters on 21st October 2015 – the date that Marty McFly and Doc Brown time travelled to in the 1989 blockbuster ‘Back to the Future’.
Unfortunately, we are not travelling around on hovering skateboards as the film suggests. However, with the strapline: “There is no such thing as impossible, it’s just a matter of figuring out how”, the campaign showcased Lexus’ hoverboard concept, ‘Slide’, that it teased out earlier this year. The one-day activation was planned and booked by ZenithOptimedia and Meridian.
