London: off the beaten track
We’ve all heard of the London Eye. Who hasn’t snapped photos of Buckingham palace? But what about London’s lesser known gems- the wonderful (and sometimes surprising) sights and sounds of London you can only discover once you go off the beaten track? That’s exactly the question Londoners are being asked in a new campaign to promote the variety of the capital.
If you’re looking for inspiration, some of London’s cultural stars and top professionals have already shared their recommendations. Joanna Lumley has chosen Myddelton Square, whilst Grayson Perry recommends Bert’s Tea Hut in Epping Forest. Designer Henry Holland has fond memories of the Marathon Kebab shop, and David Harewood has spoken up for the Thames’ beaches.
