CBS Outdoor UK Scoops Marketing Society Award

CBS Outdoor UK today celebrates scooping an award at the prestigious Marketing Society Awards for Excellence, which took place on 6 June 2011 at the Park Lane Hilton.

Winning the award for its London Long Copy Challenge competition in the B2B marketing category, the company beat of some stiff competition from campaigns from the likes of M&C Saatchi for iShares. CBS Outdoor UK was one of only two media owners to win an award at the event with one judge commenting that it was 'the strongest and most entertaining entry in this category'.

Another example of The London Long Copy Challenge was designed to help celebrate the artistry of long copy, boost the art of writing in advertising and highlight the three minutes of dwell time cross track posters offer as the perfect platform to tell a story to a unique audience.  The competition tasked creative agencies to develop an eye catching 48 Sheet Cross-track poster campaign to win the competition.

Winning entries were displayed at the Getty Images Gallery in London as well as on the platform at Oxford Circus Underground station. The Marketing Society Awards are one of the flagship events in the marketing calendar with around 800 attendees to the ceremony each year. CBS Outdoor UK is currently running a similar competition to the London Long Copy Challenge, The Big Bus Challenge, which tasks creative agencies to come up with imaginative ads tailored specifically for buses.
