Exterion Media The Netherlands acquires Dutch nationwide petrol stations

Exterion Media Netherlands announced the acquisition of Dutch nationwide petrol station network from MMD with immediate effect. The network consist of 1378 digital screens on 607 petrol stations across the Netherlands.  With this addition Exterion Media The Netherlands has 67mln contacts per week on premium locations which is perfect to align with TV, online video and social  media strategies.  

Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) has made a huge growth over the last few years, and only in the last 6 months showed almost 50% growth compared to last year. DOOH now makes 33% of the total OOH market in the Netherlands. 

This explosive growth of DOOH is possible due to the flexibility of the medium and the alignment it offers to online and TV strategies. DOOH also has the power to engage with a dominant younger audience, the content is full motion and portrait, which all are in favour of this medium. We also see that for advertisers and agencies it is beginning to be easier to convert online and social strategies to DOOH.
