Exterion Media and Translink extend contract relationship until 2022

Exterion Media Northern Ireland and Translink have extended their contract relationship until 2022.

The Translink contract was most recently awarded to  Exterion Media (then CBS Outdoor) in 2012, following an extensive procurement exercise for a 5 year term with the option for Translink  to extend for a further 5 years. Translink have elected to exercise this option and have retained Exterion Media to manage their on-vehicle advertising assets up to 31 December 2022. 

The contract covers the management and operation of all advertising panels both externally and internally across the fleet of 1,360 buses on both Metro and Ulsterbus services.

Translink is the provider of public transport across Northern Ireland and services all key cities and towns.

Exterion Media have managed the bus advertising contract for Translink for over 18 years.  Over that time Exterion Media has continued to develop and evolve transit advertising and transit formats bringing innovation and engagement to this Out of Home sector. The appointment by Translink to manage and develop their vehicle advertising assets for a further term continues to strengthen the relationship with Exterion Media and will bring some exciting new out of home solutions to advertisers seeking to target a Northern Ireland audience. Working in partnership with Translink, Exterion Media will continue to invest in transport advertising inventory to introduce the latest product innovations and quality displays. 

The contract extension is part of Translink’s commercial development plans to maximise the revenue it generates from its assets to reinvest in the transport network for the benefit of public transport users in Northern Ireland.
