Exterion Media goes green for The Planet Mark

We are delighted to announce that Exterion Media UK has been awarded The Planet Mark for our commitment to sustainable practice. In 2013 the company reduced its Carbon Footprint by an incredible 15%, against a target reduction of 5%.

The Planet Mark, in partnership with The Eden Project, is an international mark of sustainability for businesses. It is awarded to companies that have taken action to improve environmental, social and economic performance, integrated sustainability reporting, and engaged with employees, local and global community projects. Over the past few years Exterion has worked hard to prioritise reducing our environmental impact, making a number of changes to reduce our carbon footprint including new environmentally friendly products and processes.

At the Planet Mark’s Leadership in Sustainability conference last week, Exterion Media’s MD Jason Cotterrell discussed these changes with over 100 businesses. Describing the role of people, innovation and efficiencies in achieving Exterion’s results, Jason also outlined the commercial case for environmentalism and explained why committing to the environment is critical to any company.

The conference also featured the premiere of ‘CEOs on Sustainability’, a video featuring key voices from the business world including Adam Elman from Marks and Spencer, Sue Walter from The Hospital Club and Exterion Media’s own Jason Cotterrell, discussing the need for leadership in sustainability.
