Shaun Gregory raises £60,000 for the NSPCC and Childline

Last Sunday Exterion Media’s CEO, Shaun Gregory, completed the London Marathon and celebrated raising a staggering £60,000 for the NSPCC and Childline.

The team at Exterion Media challenged Shaun to make it across the finish line, setting him an initial fundraising target of £25,000. Over a period of two months, Shaun received an incredible amount of support, enabling him to raise more than double his original sponsorship goal.

The London Marathon is known for its lively atmosphere and great support from well-wishers, friends and family that helps runners, like Shaun, cross the finish line in one of the UK’s most vibrant cities.

Every mile ran for team NSPCC and every penny raised will mean that when a child needs help, the NSPCC can reach them.

Shaun’s donations will help support services including the NSPCC’s Speak Out and Stay Safe Schools Service, which delivers safeguarding assemblies and workshops to teach children the tools needed to keep them safe from abuse.

Shaun Gregory, CEO at Exterion Media, said: “After spending time with some of the Childline counsellors, it was clear to me that making an effrort to raise money could make a huge difference to children in danger or distress. I’m truly humbled by the amount of support and encouragement I’ve received. I couldn’t be more grateful – this is what carried me through to the finish, 6 hours and 2 minutes later.

The NSPCC, Childline and I are overwhelmed by all the donations and want to say a huge thank you – it means a huge amount to us all. The London Marathon has been, without a doubt, one of the toughest challenges I’ve experienced, but providing that support for children 24/7 is essential and a marathon is a tiny sacrifice for such a fantastic cause.”
