Battle of the Bus creative competition

To celebrate our iconic New Routemaster (NRM) Wrapped Buses, we’re launching a yearlong competition to champion the best creatives of 2019.

As we break the 1000th NRM Wrapped Bus milestone, we’re acknowledging the effort that brands and agencies put into developing these eye-catching wraps with our ‘Battle of the Bus’ creative competition.


All NRM Wrapped Bus creatives deployed in 2019 will be automatically entered into our competition, with the best campaign selected and celebrated each month. These top twelve creatives will also be added to a shortlist, which will be judged by a panel of industry leaders at the end of the year.

In an entirely new approach to bus advertising, in 2014 Adidas painted 32 NRM buses as part of its ‘all in or nothing’ World Cup campaign. Following the success of this powerful, new advertising platform, we pioneered the first vinyl Wrapped Buses that launched with Magnum’s ‘Pink Raspberry’ and ‘Black Espresso’ creative almost three years ago.

This joint innovation, with Exterion Media and TfL, paved the way for other brands to unlock the potential of this unique advertising format and creatively bring their message to the high streets.

Fast-forward to today, and we’ve seen over 1000, impressive Wrapped Buses decorating the streets of London and turning around 5.8 million heads every week. And, with a strong 4 in 5 consumer recall rate, it’s no wonder brands like Magnum, Samsung, Tommy Hilfiger and eBay have embraced this exclusive product.
